The Naming of Cats is a Difficult Matter

Jumper c/o Wearall  | Jeans: Primark | Trainers: Converse via Sarenza
Let’s start this post by talking about how amazing this jumper from Wearall is. I seriously cannot get over it- CATS, everywhere! The pastel blue colour lends itself wonderfully to faded denim and well worn Converse and this is fast going to become one of my staple weekend outfits. The jumper itself is also available in pink (which Mum instantly ordered after seeing mine) and Grey, it costs £16.45 which is an utter bargain for the quality of this, not to mention the number of cats! I now own quite a few cat themed items of clothing but I’m yet to find the perfect dress. Aside from the fact I’m skint right now, let me know if you see any good ‘uns.
Ben got these photos of me the weekend before last. I reserve judgement on how I look in them but we had good fun playing with my new camera, a Canon 1100D bought on recommendation from fellow bloggers after I enquired about a good DSLR for beginners. It’s going to take a bit more getting used to and playing with but I’m much happier with the quality of the photos, I’ve taken some crackin’ ones of Mae (who now runs a mile when she sees me coming near her wielding the camera!)
The title of this post is from the musical, CATS which happens to be one of my favourite musicals ever. It’s got me thinking though, the naming of pets is really quite important…what’s the most ridiculous pet name you’ve ever heard?

Love the jumper, love the Cats reference – Mungojerrie and Rumpleteaser were always my favourites 🙂

  2. Switchblade Grand Master Flash was the name given to my friends cat. Another friend called their tabby Alan. I’m not sure which is worse!

  3. We have a cat called Dave…….
The chickens are Princess Layer, Hens Solo, Baba Fahita, C3 cheepio, Darth Layer and Luke Skysquarker – so I am not sure I should mention anyone else!

Okay, so I may have ordered one of these. Heads up, they’re being sold by a seller on Ebay for £11.99 free p&P! Bargain x

  7. So many cats – love it!

  8. CATS ON A JUMPER IS ALWAYS A WINNER! And so much excitement it caused me to use caps locks! I love the print, and the colour on you! x

One of my cats is Coraline, and the other is Archibald Battersby III. He’s named after a favourite headstone at the local cemetery. I sure hope Archibald Battersby II doesn’t mind being reincarnated as a cat! (:

  10. The jumper is lovely, I saw this and instantly though of you:

I had a goldfish called Paul. I love animals with human names, there’s something hilarious about, say, a cat called Simon.

  15. I love a good bit of T.S Elliott poetry, said or sung with Lloyd-Webber tunes!
That jumper is super cute!! X

  16. I so nearly bought this jumper! I found in in TKMax a while ago. But for some reason the arms were SO long. I do not know if I have really short arms, or the jumper was just super stretched. It is adorable, and looks great on you 🙂 xxx

  17. Glad to hear you decided to go with a Canon, they’re really user friendly and great results from the off.
