Boho Vibes

I seem to have veered away from my more girly side of style lately, favouring bolder colours and brighter, more graphic prints. Sometimes though, it’s good to go back to your roots and when I was sent the most ethereal, floaty dress recently I remembered how much I enjoyed all things feminine.

Dress c/o Valour and Valkyrie | Shoes: Georgia Rose @ Sarenza | Necklace: La Jewellery

I hadn’t ever really heard of Valour and Valkyrie until recently but I found myself smitten by their website and ethos of creating fairytale worthy clothing. This dress is an absolute dream and a delight to wear. From the floaty batwing sleeves to the pockets; a dress with pockets is always a winner, this lends itself perfectly to neutral accessories- a bronze necklace and golden brown boots for starters on a grey and dreary day, but I’m thinking bare legs and gladiator sandals with perhaps a floral crown for warmer and sunnier times.
The necklace, which I purchased after featuring La Jewellery on the blog before Christmas is one of my most worn pieces. “Carpe Diem” is a constant reminder to myself to stop over thinking everything and seize every single day as it presents itself. It toned in perfectly with the dress and I think it’ll become a constant companion for it.
How has your style changed recently? How would you have styled this dress, I want more ideas!
Valour and Valkyrie is also available on notonthehighstreet

  2. you really really suit boho! this whole look is just beautiful on you!XX

  3. I’m not sure how my style has changed – or even if it has. I’m tryign to be more selective about the things which I choose or make these days, I guess, so that things are more likely to be worn than sat around at the back of the wardrobe forever.

  4. This is beautiful. Some dresses don’t need much more than great shoes and a well placed accessory and this is one of those dresses. I think I’d add my go-to black opaques and black suede platform boots for colder months – this dress is with out a doubt an all-year-rounder! Gorgeous!

  5. I love girly ultra-feminine fashions! Your Valour and Valkyrie dress with its batwing sleeves, pleats, ornamentation, pleats and light look of the fabric is lovely.

  6. This is really lovely! I would definitely pop a denim jacket with it šŸ™‚

  7. What a pretty dress, I loved the Midas top on their site. I think my style has been getting a bit more girly lately. Which is weird but fun, šŸ™‚

  8. This is probably the first time I’ve seen you in a girly/flowy/bohemian style dress – it looks gorgeous on you!

  9. LOVE this dress on you, it will be perfect for summer!

Such a good look for you! Love the whole outfit, you look beautiful! xx

  11. I’ve never heard of them before! It has a slight victorian feel to it, I love how loose it is and I like how you paired it with brown ankle boots – I’d probably have styled it in the same way (or maybe with some cowboy boots).

  12. It’s a gorgeous dress and I think the idea of teaming with a floral crown is great! It reminds me of an Alice Temperley dress I fell in love with some years ago so I’m sad it
    Isnt available.
You could team.it with mint coloured tights and a mint cardie? X

  13. That is such a cute dress on you! I could probably never pull that shade off because i’m the type of girl that drops and dribbles food on herself all the time!
